Alcúdia and Playa de Muro are flat, the plots are level and the streets are wide, so a hot tub here is usually a standard delivery with no crane and no surprises. Most of our customers in the bay own a second home within walking distance of the beach.
Delivery notes for Alcúdia & Playa de Muro
Houses in Port d'Alcúdia, Bonaire and Playa de Muro have level drives, side gates and gardens on the same plane as the road, so the spa comes off the lorry onto a trolley and into position in under an hour. Alcúdia old town inside the walls is the exception, with narrow streets and townhouse patios that need a small crane and a parking permit. Summer traffic on the Ma-12 is slow, so we schedule bay deliveries for early morning from June to September.
Beach houses and second homes
The typical Alcúdia customer has a house in Bonaire or a chalet in Playa de Muro or Can Picafort, comes for Easter, the summer and a couple of weeks in autumn, and wants the spa ready when they arrive and safe when they leave. The Cala 5 and Serra 5 are the models we deliver most here, and swim spa enquiries are usually the Nedar 4.3 from families who want to swim lengths without the space or the licence a pool involves.
Second-home routine
The app on the Premium series shows water temperature and any fault code from abroad, and the holiday check plan from 45 euros a visit means someone opens the cover, tests the water and checks the pump every couple of weeks. Before you arrive we do a water care visit from 95 euros or a full change from 180 euros, and the spa is warm the evening you land.
Sand and salt
Playa de Muro is a beach. Sand gets into everything, including the cabinet vents and the filter, and salt air shortens the life of exposed metal. We fit the UV-stable cabinet, specify stainless fixings and recommend a cover lifter so the cover is not dragged across a sandy terrace. Rinse the filter weekly in summer.
Water in the bay
Alcúdia mains water is hard, and Playa de Muro has had salinity problems in dry summers. We test on the day of the fill and adjust the routine, and the UV and ozone upgrade at 590 euros reduces the chlorine you need to keep clear water in high season.
Community terraces
Some of the apartment complexes along the bay have ground-floor terraces that are community elements. A spa there usually needs the community's agreement, and we provide the spec sheet so you can ask. Check with your community before ordering.
Installation
A standard install in the bay is a morning's work. Dedicated RCD line from the cuadro, spa levelled, filled from your hose and heating by lunchtime.
