Hot tubs in Palma
Palma is a city of roof terraces, inner patios and narrow streets, and most of our hot tubs here go in by crane rather than through the front door. We check the lift, the terrace structure and the community rules before you commit to anything.
Delivery notes for Palma
In the old town and Santa Catalina the streets are too narrow for a lorry, so we park at the nearest corner and lift the spa over the facade with a mobile crane, which usually needs a short street-closure permit from the Ajuntament. In Portixol, El Molinar and Son Armadams access is wider and a ground-floor garden or a lift-free first floor can often be done by hand. Stairwells almost never work; a spa travels on its side at about 95 to 105 cm and Palma stair turns are tighter than that.
Roof terraces, patios and the seafront
Most Palma enquiries come from three kinds of home. Townhouses and top-floor flats in the old town with a roof terrace, ground-floor flats in Santa Catalina or Es Jonquet with a small patio, and houses along the Portixol and Molinar seafront with a garden facing the bay. Each has its own routine, and we have done enough of them to know where the problems hide.
The weight question comes first
A roof terrace in a building from 1900 was not designed with 1,500 kg of water in mind. Before quoting, we ask for a photo of the terrace and the floor below it, and for anything over a Cala 3 we recommend a short structural check by an aparejador. A compact spa over a load-bearing wall is almost always fine. A 7-seater in the middle of a span is not something we will install without the paperwork.
What sells here
The Serra 3 and Cala 3 are the Palma models. At 160 cm wide they fit a typical terrace and leave room for a table, and the 16 to 20 A supply is realistic for a city flat that may only have 5.75 kW contracted. Seafront houses with a garden go for the Serra 5, and we fit the salt-air cabinet treatment as standard on anything within sight of the water.
Community rules
If your terrace is a community element, even a private-use one, the comunidad de propietarios usually has a say. We give you a one-page description of the spa, weight and drainage that you can hand to the administrador before the meeting. Check with your council and community; we cannot promise approval, but we can make it easy to ask.
Installation day
The crane arrives early to beat traffic, the lift itself takes under half an hour, and we spend the rest of the morning levelling, connecting to your cuadro eléctrico on a dedicated RCD line and filling. Palma water is hard, so we start you on a calcium-control routine from the first fill.
