Hot tub prices in Mallorca in 2026: what's really included
Real installed prices by series, what a proper quote must include, and the crane, electrical line, base and terrace extras that turn a brochure price into something else.
Ask three suppliers in Mallorca for a price on the same size of hot tub and you can get three numbers that are thousands apart. The tubs are rarely that different. One quote includes IVA, delivery and installation. One is ex-works from a warehouse near Barcelona. One is a brochure price that becomes something else once a lorry, an electrician and a crane turn up. Here is what hot tubs actually cost on the island this year, what an installed price should contain, and where the surprises hide.
Price bands by series
On this site every model price includes 21% IVA, delivery anywhere in Mallorca and standard installation with ground-level access. With that definition, the 2026 range looks like this:
- Essential (one pump, digital panel): €8,490 to €10,990. The Cala 3 at €8,490 is the entry point, the Cala 5 at €9,490 the family size, and the round Rodona 6 (€9,990) and Cala 6 (€10,990) are for people who want six upright seats rather than loungers.
- Premium (two pumps plus a circulation pump, colour touchscreen and app): €11,490 to €14,490. The Serra 5 at €12,990 is the model most buyers end up with: two loungers, 52 hydro jets, 215 × 215 cm. The Serra 6 at €14,490 is the larger six-seater.
- Signature (three pumps plus circulation, UV and ozone, full-foam insulation): €16,490 for the Mar 5 and €19,490 for the Mar 7. Both are made to order.
- Swim spas: €29,900 for the Nedar 4.3, €36,900 for the Nedar 5.2 and €44,900 for the Nedar 5.9 Dual with two separately heated zones.
So the honest answer to what a hot tub costs in Mallorca is €8,490 to €19,490 installed, and most families land between €9,500 and €15,000 before any terrace work.
What an installed price should include
When you compare quotes, make each supplier confirm these in writing:
- 21% IVA. Consumer prices in Spain have to be shown with tax. Some importers still quote "más IVA" in small print, which adds about €1,800 to an €8,500 tub.
- Delivery to your address in Mallorca, not to the port and not to a depot in Palma for you to collect.
- Positioning on your base by the installer's own team, including the last metre through the gate.
- Connection to a prepared electrical point, first fill, start-up and a walk-through of the controls.
- A thermal cover. It is not an accessory. A tub without one costs a fortune to run.
- Warranty in writing. Here that is 5 years on the shell, 2 years on equipment and 1 year on covers and accessories, serviced from the island.
If any one of these is missing, the price is not comparable with an all-in price.
The extras people get caught by
The tub is usually the predictable part. These are the items that turn a €9,490 quote into €12,000 on the day:
- Crane. A hot tub travels on its side and needs a path about 10 cm wider than its height, so 95 to 105 cm for most models. A narrower side passage, steps down to a lower terrace in Portals or a first-floor terrace in Palma's old town mean a crane. Budget €450–650 for a crane reaching up to 15 m, and €900–1,500 for a larger one where the lorry has to stand further back.
- Electrical line. A hot tub needs its own dedicated line with an RCD from the main board. Essential models run on 16 A, Premium on 20–25 A, Signature on 32 A. If the terrace has no suitable supply, a new line up to 15 m costs €550–750 and 15–30 m costs €850–1,200, including the electrician's certificate.
- Base. A full tub weighs 1.5 to 2.5 tonnes. An old tiled terrace on a finca is often fine, a raised timber deck often is not. A new concrete base runs €85–110 per m², a paved base €120–160 per m².
- Delivery surcharges. Watch for mainland suppliers who quote delivery to the peninsula and then add a ferry and island surcharge. The island surcharge alone can be several hundred euros.
None of these are scandalous. The problem is finding out about them after the deposit.
The price builder categories, with real ranges
To make this easier the site has a price builder that follows the same steps an installer uses on a site visit. The categories and their ranges, all including IVA:
- Access: standard €0, difficult €250–350, crane up to 15 m €450–650, larger crane €900–1,500.
- Power: existing suitable supply €0, new line up to 15 m €550–750, new line 15–30 m €850–1,200.
- Base: existing €0, new concrete €85–110/m², paved €120–160/m².
- Terrace: none, composite decking €210–260/m², timber decking €180–230/m², natural stone €240–320/m², sunken installation €2,900–4,500.
- Extras: cover lifter €345, steps €195, handrail €290, wifi module €390, UV and ozone upgrade €590, water care starter kit €160, drainage pump kit €175, pergola or shade from €3,200.
Ranges rather than fixed prices, because a crane in a narrow street in Sóller is not the same job as one on a wide plot in Santa Ponça. The site visit turns the range into a figure.
What a terrace adds
The cheapest installation is a tub standing on an existing terrace with steps and a cover lifter: about €540 on top of the model price. A built surround is a different budget. A Serra 5 is 215 × 215 cm. A composite deck that frames it with a 1 m walkway on two sides and a bench along the third is roughly 10–12 m², so €2,100–3,120 in composite or €1,800–2,760 in timber. Natural stone, often marès or a local limestone to match the house, is €2,400–3,840 for the same area. A sunken installation, where the tub sits flush with the terrace and you step down into it, is €2,900–4,500 for the pit, drainage and access hatch before the decking goes on. Most terrace projects come out between €3,000 and €8,000 all in, and because the same team installs the tub and builds the terrace, the lifter, steps and service access are designed in from the start.
Swim spa price bands
Swim spas are a different category of cost, and not only because the price starts at €29,900. The Nedar 4.3 needs a 40 A supply and weighs about 8 tonnes full; the Nedar 5.9 Dual weighs over 11 tonnes full and needs 50 A. Nearly every swim spa installation needs a larger crane (€900–1,500), a new electrical line and a purpose-built reinforced base, so a realistic installed budget is €33,000–50,000 before any decking. If you plan to sink it into the ground, ask your council first. Some town halls treat an excavated swim spa like a pool.
When to buy: stock or order
Everything in the Essential and Premium series is in stock in our warehouse in Mallorca, which normally means installation within one to two weeks of the site visit. The Signature Mar models and all swim spas are made to order, 6–8 weeks for a Mar 5. Prices do not move with the season, but diaries do. May and June are the busiest months for installers and crane companies, so a tub ordered in February or October is easier to schedule. Buy when the terrace is ready and the power is sorted, not when the weather turns warm.
Why a cheap import costs more over five years
A €4,000 to €5,000 tub from an online marketplace looks like it halves the budget. Over five years in Mallorca it rarely does:
- Insulation. Thin or partial insulation means the heater runs constantly in a tramuntana wind in January. A difference of €20–30 a month in electricity is €1,200–1,800 over five years.
- Parts. Pumps, heaters and control boards on no-name tubs are often unavailable two years later, or arrive from the factory in six weeks.
- No local service. A fault in August with no technician on the island means an empty tub for the summer and a mainland call-out charge, if anyone will come at all.
- Covers and shells that are not rated for the UV here fade and crack within two or three summers.
Put the saving against the cost of a replacement in year four and the cheap tub is usually the expensive one.
Our take
Ask for one number that includes IVA, delivery to your door, installation, cover and warranty, then ask what could still change it. The price builder on this site adds the crane, electrical line, base, terrace and extras for your situation and gives you a realistic installed range before anyone visits. Send us a few photos of the terrace and the access route on WhatsApp and the range becomes a fixed quote.
