Serra 6

Room for six

At 230×230×92 cm the Serra 6 is the largest tub in the Premium series and the largest we keep in stock. Six seats: one lounger along one side and five upright seats around the other three. That layout gives one person a full-body massage while five others sit and talk, which is how most groups actually use a tub. Six adults fit with room for knees.

It holds 1,600 litres and weighs 470 kg empty. Price is €14,490 installed with IVA, delivery and standard installation. If you rarely have more than four in the water, the Serra 5 saves €1,500 and gives you a second lounger instead of extra upright seats. If you want full-foam insulation, UV and ozone as standard and a third pump, the Mar 7 is the next step up at €19,490, but it is made to order.

Jets and pumps

Two 3 HP pumps drive 60 hydro jets and 14 air jets. The lounger has a continuous line from shoulders to feet. The upright seats each have shoulder, lower-back and calf groups. A separate circulation pump filters quietly all day on very little power, so the main pumps only run while people are in the tub.

Control is a colour touchscreen on the rim with wifi and an app. For a villa that is let in summer, the app means you can see the water temperature and the filter cycle from wherever you are, and the holiday check from €45 a visit covers the chemistry between guests.

Terrace and foundation

The height is 92 cm, so the delivery route needs 102 cm of clear width with no steps, from the lorry to the base. Many villa side passages are 100 cm. If it is tight, a crane lift up to 15 m is €450–650, and that is the normal route onto a terrace in Cala Llombards or up a sloping drive in Son Servera.

Full and occupied it comes to about 2.5 tonnes. A ground-level slab takes it; a roof terrace or a terrace built over a garage needs an architect's confirmation. A sunken install with composite decking around it, so the rim sits at deck level, is a popular choice for this size and runs €2,900–4,500 plus decking at €210–260/m².

Power is a dedicated 25 A line with an RCD. A new line up to 15 m is €550–750.

Running it year-round

A Premium tub on the island's €0.22/kWh tariff costs about €30–40 a month in summer and €50–70 in winter at 38 °C with three uses a week. The Serra 6 has more water than the Serra 5, so budget for the upper half of those ranges. On the north coast in the tramuntana season, or on an open terrace in Alcúdia bay, a windbreak or pergola pays for itself in heat retained.

A cover lifter at €345 is worth having on a cover this size.
